About Dr. Lizzie Cleary
Dr. Lizzie Cleary is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Training Director at the Simms/Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. Dr. Cleary provides support to those with cancer and their loved ones for concerns including adjustment to diagnosis and treatment, cancer survivorship, caregiver stress, growth, and grief.
Dr. Cleary teaches and supervises graduate students in psychology, social work, medicine, and chaplaincy on providing mental health support in the context of cancer.
Dr. Cleary speaks and writes for national organizations on adjustment to cancer and is writing a grief memoir and coming-of-age story, which illustrates the evolution of her professional and personal understanding of mental health, grief, and the importance of talking about emotional pain.
